Agriculture
LiDAR data can be used for crop growth and health is closely monitored in Precision Farming in order to minimize the use of fertilizers or irrigation. Airborne laser scanning data enable to observe plant growth
LiDAR is quickly establishing itself as a critical technology for civil engineering firms around the world. This technology provides valuable
information for the design of new urban and rural roadways and railways.
Kîsik has developed a unique suite of analytics using lidar point cloud, hyperspectral or imagery collection to provide essential forest information over large areas thus reducing the amount of time and resources typically dedicated to a traditional field-based inventory.
Kîsik has experience with emergency projects involving wide area flooding and landslides. We have the ability to dispatch at a moment's notice to
support any emergency that may require detailed imagery or LiDAR acquisition.
Kîsik has developed a suite of analytics using lidar point cloud in combination with our imagery collection to provide essential information large
corridors.
Kîsik OFFERS A VARIETY OF PRODUCTS BASED ON YOUR PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
LiDAR
LiDAR provides a fast and cost-effective method for producing digital elevation models (DEMs), including reflective surface DEMs from first returns
for elevation of above-ground features, and bare-earth DEMs for accurate measurement of the earth's surface.
Orthoimagery has an extremely broad range of applications, particularly when collected with state-of-the-art digital systems. Our large format camera collects high-resolution panchromatic, R, G, B and NIR information at 450 Megapixels.
AisaFENIX is an advanced hyperspectral imaging tool for efficient implementation of full spectrum VNIR + SWIR applications both on the ground and in the air.
AQUIRING THE BEST DATA MEANS INVESTING IN THE BEST TECHNOLOGY
LiDAR
LiDAR
LiDAR (short for Light Detection and
Ranging) uses light in the form of a pulsed
laser to measure ranges (variable
distances) to the Earth. LIDAR targets an
area with a laser and measures the time for
the reflected light to return to the receiver.
Using re-engineered solid state storage
technology and an entirely updated image
processing workflow - the new UltraCam
Eagle M3 seamlessly took flight for the
start of Kîsik's, 2018 photo season.
Any material that is detectable either
directly or indirectly based on its spectral
features, can be mapped with an airborne
hyperspectral camera. Hyperspectral
imaging collects and processes information
from across the electromagnetic spectrum.
Kîsik fleet is made up of seven (7) Piper multi-
engine planes that have been customized
with either a single or dual large format
sensor port. Which enable the aircraft to
carry out various tasks such as
surveillance, mapping, and monitoring.
Kîsik has a firm belief that having great
data starts with the technology you use to
collect the data. The Trimble R12 is Trimble's latest RTK System deploying the most advanced GNSS data collection capabilities.
Pitch, roll and yaw angles present a
constant challenge for aerial photography,
geospatial data - acquisition and
surveillance. The solution - Gyro
Stabilization Mounts, which drastically
reduce the movements of airborne sensor systems.
Kîsik is proud to provide our partners at the Hakai Institute and the University of Northern British Columbia with a dedicated aerial survey platform
to support their critical scientific research and climate change mapping.
The Airborne Coastal Observatory (ACO) features a variety of sophisticated technologies, including LiDAR and Hyperspectral sensors, in order
to examine and monitor indicators of climate change and inform a wide variety of scientific questions from BC’s icefields to oceans.
At Kîsik, our people are our single greatest strength.
Guided by our shared values, the Kîsik team is comprised of a unique blend of professional
backgrounds in Aviation, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, and Safety Management. Together, we work with our customers to determine their needs, delivering high-quality products that leverage the experience of our diverse team.
